Description:
A quartet of GEs bring an eastbound Z train around Point of Rocks. For a short distance just east of Helendale the former Santa Fe First District skirts along the steep banks of the Mojave River until the terrain flattens out for easier running. Within this short area, over the years the line had seen numerous changes to reduce curvature and raise speeds.
